Minutes Defined
The official record of a meeting. Some minutes include a summary (not verbatim) of the discussion along with any resolutions. Other minutes just contain a record of the decisions. Minutes start off with the name of the organization, the place and date of the meeting and the name of those person's present. Minutes are prepared by the corporate secretary and signed by either the president or secretary.

Thanksgiving weekend turns violent

Police are searching for more details on a possible gang related drive-by shooting that occurred on J Street last Friday. According to the Los Baños Police Department a 19-year-old man was shot in the buttocks after arguing with a group of people who were in a dark colored sport utility vehicle.

Saddam Kin 'Chemical Ali' Gets 2nd Death Sentence

Saddam Hussein's notorious cousin "Chemical Ali" Hassan al-Majid received a second death sentence Tuesday -- this time for crushing a Shiite uprising in the wake of Iraq's defeat in the 1991 Gulf War. Al-Majid, once among the most feared members of Saddam's regime, muttered "thanks be to God" as the verdict was read.
